August is officially gone-zo and we are onto to cooler and autumn-er (?) things. What’s up September? 🙂 Fall is such a glorious time of the year. I live for the weather, the scents, the clothing, etc. etc. Typical right? Now that August is done with I thought I would share my favorite beauty products and fashion items from the month. Some will come as no surprise, as they have been featured in a few other posts. Some items I haven’t mentioned before. Quick note…when I was linking the products I noticed a lot of them were on sale for Labor Day weekend!! Okey dokey, let’s check out some favs!
This bag has been my obsession since I laid my eyes on it at work. I saw it and immediately tried it on, set it back, and bought it! It is such a beauty. I really enjoy staying up on bag trends and I think the backpack purse is adorable. Sugar Bowl also has this in a nude color and choosing between them was a challenge for me. Wear this to class or wear it shopping. Literally, amazing!
This little palette has 6 matte, neutral eyeshadows. Lately I have been reaching for this without thought. I love the matte eyeshadows right now, especially since I have been into highlighting my cheekbones. I feel like the matte eye look tones down the shimmer. These shadows are seriously the best quality and it is a great on-the-go palette. You might need to splurge on this one!
3.Denim Skirt [PacSun]
Similar one here
The denim skirt trend is too good. I cannot even fully express my love for it. I’m not totally sure what it is about denim skirts but I want to buy 20 more. I can totally see this in the fall with tights and a mustard sweater. HOLY COW! It’s just perfection. I also featured it in my Back to School Lookbook and couldn’t have loved that outfit more.
4.Covergirl Super Sized Mascara [Wal-Mart]
Covergirl did it again. I don’t know what they do to their mascaras to make them so amazing, but this is top 3 mascaras I have ever used. I used Covergirl Lashblast my entire high school career, and now will occasionally repurchase it for fun. This mascara is so similar in formula. The brush is thin which I typically don’t go for, but somehow it works. I got the waterproof, which I don’t recommend, considering one application would last about 3 days and rip off your eyelashes! [haha!] It does not budge. The volume you get from this mascara is just unreal. Check it out for yourself!
Although I wore this tank at least 5 times this month, the favorite is actually lace in general. I see lace bralettes on Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest. I used to think these lace tanks were totally out of style, because let’s be honest, we all wore them under t-shirts in middle school to add a little sass. [Actually laughing at those days]. I don’t necessarily recommend going back to that look, but layering them under flannels or cardigans is a great option.
6.Mixed Materials Wrap Bracelet [Gifted]
Bracelet website (so many cute ones!)
My lovely co-worker Salli gave me this wrap bracelet this month after I complimented the one she always wears! I think this is hands down a necessity for jewelry lovers. I tend to lean towards boho clothing and I feel like the wrap style, as well as the bit of leather, go well with my clothing. This is the absolute cutest when it is layered with other bracelets. I have been pairing it with my Alex and Ani bracelets. I seriously don’t even take this off!
7.Buxom Lipcream in White Russian [Sephora]
Talk about a holy grail product. I have had this lipgloss since high school and am still madly in love with it. I have been reaching for it lately because it lasts so incredibly long. Warning: it does have a plumping effect and some people might be freaked out by the tingling. I personally don’t notice any real plumping going on. It does last so incredibly long though. They also have more fall appropriate colors if you are interest!
8.Victoria’s Secret Ultra Cream Wash in Acai [Victoria’s Secret]
I actually purchased this body wash because it was on sale and smelt great. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and I have never loved a body wash more. First of all the Acai scent is straight up heaven on earth. It isn’t fruity, floral, or sweet. It is more mature and I could sniff it all day. The cream formula is amazing. I have always struggled with dry legs and I can tell a huge difference because of this. You need to at least smell this in the store!
9.Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo [Ulta]
Let’s be honest for a second. Washing your hair sometimes is a real pain. I personally do not always have time for a full on hair wash! I also try to avoid washing my hair everyday so I am not stripping it of any natural oils it needs. On days when my hair is looking a little blah, or it needs a bit of texture, I will reach for this and spray it in my roots. After letting it sit for a few minutes I will massage it in. Although it isn’t the same as a good ole washin’ it gets the job done!
Thank you kindly for reading! Let me know what your favorite products have been and I will definitely check them out 🙂 I cannot tell you how much it means to me when people tell me they have been reading my blog posts. It makes me so incredibly happy. So thanks 🙂
