All friendships are very different and I have been blessed with a wide variety of friends. Each one is different and unique in its own way. Some friendships are built on laughter, some on secrets, some on tradition, some on time, some on trust. Some friendships fade through the years and some remain. Many change and many never differ.

My friendship in Jasmine is one that I will cherish forever. We have been friends since basically day one. We went to Rita’s together, we went to each other’s birthday parties, we even remained friends when she returned from a different elementary school. I will never forget all the amazing memories we have together and the foundation of our friendship. Jasmine brings out my fun side, the “live-a-little” side, while I maybe do the opposite to her, as in “Jaz, I don’t know if this is a good idea.”

She pushes me to live a little on the edge. Like the time the mall cop yelled at us for honking at people as they walked in front of our car. LOL yeah that was hilarious. And I push her to make thoughtful decisions (even if she doesn’t always take my advice.) Never forget the night I made you leave a sketch ball party and you hit me because you didn’t want to leave. HAHAHAHA.

The thing I cherish most about our friendship is that we are ALWAYS there for each other in our weakest moments. I think back to the hardest times in my life and you were always RIGHT beside me. I have always tried to do the same for you. Jasmine and I truly have a friendship for the books and I know it will last a lifetime and beyond.

happiness:

“That’s when I realized what a true friend was. Someone who would always love you – the imperfect you, the confused you, the wrong you – because that is what people are supposed to do.”

love,

Mary
