I thought it would be fun to start a Happy Things (my lifestyle posts) series of the wedding! This will include happenings like showers, planning ideas, and lots and lots of pictures. I thought this would be a great way to also look back on the planning stages of our wedding. My mom also bought me an adorable journal to notate the journey, which is going to be a timeless piece as well. I decided to start off with our engagement because Bob really rocked it out.
I’ll try to keep this brief 🙂
Bobby and I often take walks over to the lookout by Little Storm Lake, and if you haven’t been there you are really missing out. It’s beautiful. We happened to be in Storm Lake for a weekend to see our friends before they went back to school. Saturday I had spent the day with my mom stopping by Sugar Bowl and Boz Wellz of course :). Bobby stayed at their house studying for his MCAT. Basically it was a pretty normal day. We went to dinner with my parents and had game night at my house before Bobby and I planned on meeting up with some friends.
Just as we were wrapping up our game Bobby got a call from little miss Emily saying she was out for a run and thought she might have hurt her ankle and that she needed him to come pick her up. He said I could go so of course I did. Apparently she was running by Little Storm Lake. Also side note—there is definitely not a running trail back there. We get back to little Storm Lake and I was worried that Bobby had misheard her. I told him there was no running trail and also suggested that we start yelling her name because I was worried. He told me not to do that—but that would have been really funny if I did hahaha.
We get closer to the treehouse/lookout and there are rose petals leading up to the lookout and all the way to the top of it. Jasmine and Emily and Patti helped with all of the decorating and cleanup and just absolutely rocked. They also had candles the entire way up the lookout and pictures of us all the way up as well. It just was beautiful. Jasmine and Emily were hiding the whole time and came out to take pictures and help us celebrate. Our friends and families also helped us celebrate afterwards and I couldn’t have been more thankful!
Everyone was so great to us that weekend and we felt so loved and blessed. Bobby and I have already started wedding planning and cannot wait for October 21st 2017 😉 It’s going to be epic.
Patti made us a great video to help us remember the day and Jasmine took pictures for us. Thank you both so so so so much. Here are some of the pictures from the day 🙂
