It is insanely exciting to start dressing up the new house! Many know that I work at Elements, where I have been getting a crazy amount of inspiration to make my home the best space it can be. I have a love for Homegoods and TJMaxx and have found some extremely great things over the last couple of weeks. I will tell you that this is a haul of just smaller things I have got for the house. I will be doing completed rooms with details on every big piece of furniture, too (when I am done decorating in 50 years mmk). It is a process! Let’s get into the haul 🙂

Gold Ball: TJ Maxx // Gold printed box: TJ Maxx // Marble + Gold book end: TJ Maxx // Moon: Hobby Lobby thanks to my mama!

I have found some cool bookcase trinkets here and there! They are going to be great pieces to dress up end tables and bookcases! One design tip I have learned from my time at Elements is that books are one of the greatest pieces of decor you can use. Stacking them with other trinkets is a neat way to dress up a table!

home8 home7I have a vision for pretty much every room in the house. On the dining table I want a little silver centerpiece of some sort and I found this beautiful marble and silver tray from Target in the clearance section for $10! What a score huh?! It is going to be great to change up seasonally as well!

Another design tip I have really picked up on from working at Elements is that you should never skimp on size. Fill the space with big things that match the size of the space. Go big or go home because that is the best way to make a statement in your home. Kathy seems to talk a lot about that type of thing when it comes to art, and I do have my eye on a couple bigger pieces of art for large blank walls in the house too. These smaller pieces are still nice for certain walls. The gold piece makes a great statement and I could see it in a lot of rooms! The white and silver piece is going to look great in a bathroom!

home4 home3 Okay so this rug might scare some of you. Fur (of course faux fur) has been huge in the design world. I saw this large area rug at Homegoods and knew it would be a great statement piece in our living room. We are going to have a gray sectional and decorate with mixed metals, but I thought this rug was fun. Bob calls it the coyote. home2

Mirrors are one of the best ways to enlarge a space. I loved this simple rustic gray mirror and thought it would be perfect in the guest room, where I am going for a more rustic chic look! This was from Homegoods as well. Yeah I should just move in there…

My bestie Natalie has this rug at her apartment and I knew I had to get it for my front door! It is just so dang cute and was only $12 from Target! Can’t beat it!

Like I said there is SO SO SO much more to come with the whole home decorating stuff!
